My dad tells me that I am fascinated with these ripe bellies because I am “vicariously living through them”.  Maybe.  Maybe not.  I do have the most lucid and warm being-pregnant-dreams from which I wake feeling so at peace.  The idea of another human inside of this human body of mine dazzles me.  I cannot help but wonder what on Earth that must feel like, someone else’s heat beating on the inside-part of your skin.  Yes, I want to be pregnant one day.

Until then, however, i shall keep searching out Magical Bellies to photograph, to love and to honor.  This life?   It’s magic to me.
